Are you a law enforcement official interested in taking part in an international professional exchange? Our CEPOL Exchange Programme might be the right opportunity for you! The call for applications has launched this week and will stay open until 3rd February 2023.
As part of its training portfolio, CEPOL offers law enforcement officials the possibility to participate in a European learning programme facilitating the exchange of knowledge and experiences. CEPOL Exchange is a two-way cross-border programme allowing selected law enforcement institutions to host officials from another country, giving them the chance to exchange insights and good practices, build trust, initiate cooperation projects, and foster deep and long-lasting learning and networking opportunities. The programme fulfils one of CEPOL’s key objectives - developing a European law enforcement culture.
More than 4,500 law enforcement officials from different services (police, customs, border and coast guards, tax authorities, prosecutors) have taken part in this learning experience since the programme was launched in 2007.
Exchange opportunities in 2023
Participation in the CEPOL Exchange Programme is possible through any of the following modules:
- The CEPOL General Exchange Programme, which encompasses exchange opportunities for law enforcement officials from EU MS countries, EU candidate countries, Western Balkan countries and Türkiye;
- The CEPOL Tutoring Exchange Programme, which is a multilateral exchange where a pair composed of a senior law enforcement official supporting a less experienced colleague is matched with a similar pair of law enforcement profiles from another country;
- The CEPOL-EJTN Exchange Programme, which encompasses exchange opportunities related to judiciary cooperation in a joint collaboration with the European Judicial Training Network (EJTN);
- The CEPOL International Cooperation Exchange Programme, which encompasses exchange opportunities within the frame of CEPOL’s International Cooperation projects with EU Neighbourhood countries;
- The CEPOL International Cooperation Mentoring Programme, which is a cooperative partnership (as mentor and mentee) between law enforcement officials within the frame of CEPOL’s International Cooperation projects with EU Neighbourhood countries.
