The Crime prevention through environmental design (CPTED) will be presented and explained as well as the contribution from the EUNWA (European network of Neighbourhood Watch), explaining the function of Neighbourhood watch as specific form of crime prevention based on the personal involvement of private citizens cooperating among themselves and with the police in order to achieve safer living.
