Online Course 2015/2025/ONL: Violent radicalisation stemming from different emerging types of extremism

The aim of this online course is to enhance the practitioner’s performance in the areas of countering radicalisation and various forms of different emerging types of extremism (anti-system, environmentalist, right and left wing, etc).
Upon completion of this training activity, participants will be able to:
- Illustrate the dynamics of radicalisation;
- Predict the relation between radicalisation, violent extremism and prevention of radicalisation;
- Prioritise key actors in the field of tackling and preventing radicalisation and violent extremism and radicalisation in Europe;
- Discover the benefits of cooperating with these actors for law enforcement;
- Assess how EU instruments and networks can be used by law enforcement when dealing with radicalisation and prevention;
- Apply EU instruments and networks which deal with radicalisation.
Learning Format
- Scheduled live online sessions.
- Self-paced learning accessible via LEEd.
- Course materials include mandatory readings and pre-recorded sessions.
- Final assessment (quiz) is required for obtaining the Certificate of Completion.
The course will be held entirely in English, therefore it is essential that nominated officials possess appropriate language skills (at least B2 level). The entire activity will be carried out online hence the physical presence of participants will not be required.

Selected participants have to be registered to CEPOL's Law Enforcement Education platform LEEd where the online activity will take the place.
