Online course 06/2018: Naples II convention: Possibilities for cooperation in customs investigations

The aim of the online course is to underline the benefits of using the Convention and to emphasize the need for cooperation between prosecutors and other law enforcement bodies throughout the EU in the investigation of customs related issues.

After completing the course participants will be able to:

1. Understand the Naples II Convention;

2. Recognize their roles and be able to apply the Naples II Convention;

3. Describe to others how the Naples II Convention is used;

4. Recognize the role of the National CCUs ;

5. Understand the differences between the Naples II Convention and other legal frameworks of cooperation.

The progress of learners will be monitored and regular feedback will be provided. Those learners who meet the certification criteria will have access to their electronic certificates.

Nomination

Altogether 45-50 places will be offered to law enforcement experts in this activity. Customs officers are strongly encouraged to apply. As usual if a country is not nominating candidate(s) for the course, vacancies will be offered to another, therefore you are encouraged to nominate more than one attendants for the activity. The nomination deadline is 24th September 2018, in case you are interested, please contact your local CEPOL National Unit / CEPOL National Contact Point.
