Exchange-bite E013/2023/EXB on Migrant Smuggling

The aim of this training is to inform the audience about the experiences and knowledge gained by participants of the CEPOL Exchange Programme 2023.

The aim of this session is to inform European law enforcement officials about the current situation of migration flows to the EU via Bulgaria and Cyprus. The presentations will focus on the organisation of work to prevent the smuggling of migrants.

With this Exchange-bite, the audience will be able to:

• Update their general knowledge about migration to Cyprus and Bulgaria; Understand the new irregular migration routes via Cyprus and Bulgaria;
   
• Recognise the challenges of combatting irregular migration;
   
• Summarise the migration policies and services in Bulgaria and Cyprus.
