Exchange-bite E011/2023/EXB on Environmental Crime

The aim of this training is to inform the audience about the experiences and knowledge gained by participants of the CEPOL Exchange Programme 2023.

This session will focus on the differences and similarities of the Serbian and Portuguese legal systems in combatting environmental crimes. The exchangees will also share recent professional experiences in environmental crime in those countries.

With this Exchange-bite, the audience will be able to:

• Enhance their general knowledge and understanding of the Serbian and Portuguese criminal law;
• Acquire new information about environmental crimes that are proscribed by criminal codes; 
• Be aware of measures that have been taken in order to collect evidence and prosecute suspects that committed environmental crimes;
• Understand the significance of the suppressing environmental crimes and raise awareness about that important field;
• Understand the relevance of the CEPOL Exchange Programme, and the opportunities it offers for networking and reinforcing mutual cooperation among countries.
