E029/2023/EXB Exchange-bite on Forensics – Fingerprints and Document Fraud

The aim of this training is to inform law enforcement officials about the differences in training and structure of fingerprint visualisation and identification techniques in Portugal and Sweden, different workflows and what we can learn from each other. Differences in training and structure of document identification methods in Kosovo* and Türkiye will also be presented and discussed focusing on the everyday process of examining documents. 

With this Exchange-bite, the audience will be able to:

• Receive a general knowledge of the different fingerprint visualisation and identification methods;
• Compare training and education programmes in Portugal and Sweden;
• Understand different workflows and their advantages and disadvantages;
• Gain knowledge on different document identification methods;
• Assess training and education programmes in Kosovo* and Türkiye;
• Get familiar with documents identification methods in Türkiye and Kosovo*.
