E023/2023/EXB CEPOL Exchange-bite on Law enforcement cooperation, information exchange and interoperability III.

The aim of this training is to inform law enforcement officials about the insights and professional development that the participants in the CEPOL Exchange Programme 2023 gained in Sweden and Spain.

With this Exchange-bite, the audience will be able to:

• Understand what to expect from the CEPOL Exchange Programme in terms of professional development;
• Get familiar with how the Swedish and Spanish Europol National Units are organised, and how they work;
• Get insight on the work of the Single Points of Contacts (SPOCs) of the International Divisions;
• Comprehend why a Case Management System is a key milestone to enhance Law Enforcement Cooperation in the scope of the Directive (EU) 2023/977 of the European Parliament and of the Council;
• Understand the implications of the use of SIENA as an information exchange channel to the detriment of other possibilities (24/7) in the scope of above mentioned Directive;
• Learn about the common challenges of interoperability with regard to the management of international police cooperation.
