43/2025/ONS: Artificial Intelligence investigation techniques – Application of AI models in countering disinformation

The aim of this onsite activity is to enhance police authorities' understanding of disinformation, its actors, techniques, and its impact on both society and police operations.

Disinformation, especially in the form of coordinated campaigns, has become a growing concern, affecting political stability and social cohesion. Participants will be empowered to identify disinformation early, analyse its extent in various settings, and assess its potential future course. This training will present AI-based support tools that assist in detecting and analysing disinformation. By leveraging these tools, participants will be better equipped to implement timely and effective responses, including recommending suitable police measures to mitigate the influence of disinformation on public safety.
