The aim of this webinar is to prepare law enforcement officials to interact with children who are suspects or accused persons in criminal proceedings in line with the requirements of the EU Directive (EU) 2016/800.

By the end of this webinar, the audience will be able to:

• Understand and eexplain the concept of safeguarding children in criminal proceedings and child-friendly justice
• Describe and distinguish different types of procedural safeguards and how to best apply them
