3072/2023/WEB 'Elderly missing persons'

3072-2023-webinar

Missing elderly persons almost always can be considered high risk, especially if they have dementia or other cognitive issues. The aim of this webinar is to provide police officers investigating these cases with a proper knowledge of the specific aspects of the elderly person’s behaviour and how they can optimise their decision making in locating the missing elderly person.

By the end of this webinar, the audience will be able to:

  • Make decisions when investigating cases of elderly missing persons based on the newly gained knowledge;
  • Interact with elderly persons who may have dementia or other cognitive issues;
  • Employ and adjust best practices on elderly missing person investigations, to increase their chances of survival after an adequate police response.

This webinar is implemented by the CEPOL Knowledge Centre on Law Enforcement Cooperation, Information Exchange and Interoperability in cooperation with AMBER Alert EuropeArrow icon.
