3050/2026/WEB 'Alerts in the Schengen Information System as a tool for tracking and protecting missing persons across Europe'

The aim of this webinar is to strengthen procedures relating to missing persons, particularly through enhancing the use of Schengen Information System (SIS) functionalities, improving cross-border cooperation and ensuring high-quality data sharing for immediate, coordinated action.
By the end of this webinar, the audience will be able to:
- Reflect on the role of respective alerts in SIS;
- Assess challenges and success factors for effective use of alerts on missing persons in search for them including the measures after the missing person is found;
- Understand obligations for information exchange and need for coordinated actions with SIRENEs on missing person cases in Schengen Area.
This activity is implemented by the CEPOL Knowledge Centre on law enforcement cooperation, information exchange and interoperability.
