14/2026/ONS - Trafficking in human beings – sexual exploitation

This onsite activity is part of CEPOL's Blended Training Programme on Trafficking in human beings.
The blended training programme is aimed at enhancing the investigative capacity of THB investigators and prosecutors to fight sexual exploitation by demonstrating successful examples of a multi-agency approach by means of concrete case studies. It is made up of 3 training activities that are built on each other, in a step-by-step approach. This is a multi-step activity; therefore, the participation of the nominated person in all steps and activities of this programme is required.
The training package has the following 3 components:
- Step 1 - Webinar
- Step 2 - Online course
- Step 3 - Onsite training activity
The participants of this comprehensive training package are invited and expected to attend all three training activities, in consecutives steps. In order to attend the onsite course it is a requirement and a pre-condition to successfully attend the online course.
EMPACT training activity
Combatting new forms of organised crime requires more cooperation between police and gendarmes, customs officers, border guards, judges, and prosecutors. EU institutions, agencies and Member States work together to tackle organised and serious international crime through a permanent and key instrument: the European Multidisciplinary Platform Against Criminal Threats (EMPACT).
CEPOL plays a crucial role in the EMPACT mechanism through the provision of specialised training and the identification of training needs within each common security threat. Every year, CEPOL provides a comprehensive training package for each common EU crime priority consisting of onsite, online and exchange training activities.
