Explore, Exchange, Experience

This publication is a record of the 2011 Exchange Programme. It combines information and statistics about the programme itself with personal accounts of some of the police officers that took part in exchanges. Common across many accounts is the reference to professional contacts and networks that were established during the exchange, with many participants saying that the strength of these contacts could not have been achieved without face-to-face meeting and learning. Exchanging Places (CEPOL/Agis Exchange Programme)

As part of the “CEPOL Exchange Programme for Senior Police Officers and Training Staff” project CEPOL has published “Exchanging Places: Sharing Police Knowledge and practice in the European Union”. This book describes the origin, the structure and outcomes of the CEPOL/AGIS Exchange Programme, the evaluation by the participants and presents the experiences by country.

Euromed Police II 2007 - 2010

The Euromed Police II project ensured cooperation between the European Union and nine countries situated on the border of the Mediterranean Sea: Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, the Palestinian Authority, Syria and Tunisia, referred to as ‘Meda’ countries.

The Euromed Police II project officially came to an end on 30 September 2010.

Competency based education mainly aims at finding a better connection between education and the profession or labour market. In order to develop a competency-based curriculum, a competency profile is needed: a validated description of the core-competencies needed in a certain job.
