The residential phase of the CEPOL European Joint Master Programme’s first module took place from 12 to 15 October 2015 in Budapest, Hungary. 30 participants from EU Member States and EUROPOL, together with 22 experts from Slovenia, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Finland, Hungary, CEPOL and FRONTEX attended this module.
The European Joint Master Programme is the first EU academic programme addressing common challenges of police cooperation in the frame of internal security. It aims at providing students with science-based competences on policing in a European community of practice. Its curriculum covers strategic and operational concepts that need to be applied at complex international settings such as the EU Policy Cycle and the Serious Organised Crime Threat Assessment. This postgraduate programme is a blended learning activity consisting of 6 modules – each of them including a four-day residential phase in the organising institution – and a student thesis.
