CEPOL Knowledge Centre delivers course on police information exchange in Riga

Between 5 and 9 May in Riga, CEPOL course 53/2025/ONS on Police Information Exchange for Single Points of Contact (SPOC) was delivered in close cooperation between the EU Agency for Law Enforcement Training (CEPOL), the European Commission and the Latvian State Police College. This unique and important training activity, designed with the aim to enhance information exchange between Single Points of Contact, derives from the portfolio of the CEPOL Knowledge Centre on Law Enforcement Cooperation, Information Exchange and Interoperability (CKC INT). It has already been successfully implemented on several occasions and is also planned for the CKC INT training portfolio in 2026.
Last week, 29 leading experts deployed in Single Points of Contact, from 22 Member States, Associated Countries and Europol worked intensively throughout the course to consolidate and strengthen their knowledge. The course focused on promoting cooperation and knowledge sharing on innovative methods and techniques in the context of daily law enforcement information exchange via SPOCs. Participants had the opportunity to learn about information databases and communication systems supporting law enforcement cross-border cooperation and information exchange, principles, legal framework, dedicated tools, procedures, and techniques.
CEPOL would like to thank the co-organisers, hosts, and participants for this extremely intensive and fruitful course.
