CEPOL Knowledge Centre delivers activity 57/2023/ONS on Schengen Evaluation – Police Cooperation

From 11-15 September 2023, the CEPOL Knowledge Centre on Law Enforcement Cooperation, Information Exchange and Interoperability organised onsite activity 57/2023 on Schengen Evaluation - Police Cooperation, hosted at the CEPOL National Unit, Academy of the Police Forces in Bratislava, Slovakia.
This training activity, organised every year together with the European Commission - Directorate General for Migration and Home Affairs, is mandatory for officials that would like to become Schengen Evaluators. The aim of this activity is to support the objectives of the evaluation and monitoring mechanism in order to verify the application of the Schengen acquis established under Council Regulation (EU) No 1053/2013 (Schengen evaluation) and to provide the future experts with a sound knowledge of evaluation principles, procedures and techniques.
26 participants from 18 Member States and Associated Schengen Countries participated in the onsite activity and had the opportunity to learn about the Schengen evaluation and monitoring mechanism, including visiting the Single Point of Contact and the regional Police Stations, in Bratislava, Slovakia.
Trainers from the European Commission, Belgium, Italy, Lithuania, and Slovakia shared their knowledge and expertise with the participants, provided support and responded to questions throughout the course.
CEPOL would like to express its gratitude to the Slovakian CEPOL National Unit for hosting this onsite activity.
