
From 11 to 14 October, the CEPOL National Unit in Greece organised the course 75/2016 “Train the trainers - step 2” in the city of Veria. 20 officials from EU Member States took part in this course, led by experts from Greece, the Netherlands, Portugal and eu-LISA.
The activity was addressed to trainers/experts and police officers willing to increase their competences on diversity in a multicultural work environment.
After the opening ceremony, the experts highlighted the role of CEPOL’s LMS and of the trainers in preparing and implementing CEPOL activities. Participants had the chance to watch their peers’ presentations and offer constructive criticism and valuable input. The first day of the course also included presentations on competency-based learning and on classroom and stress management.

Other topics covered at the course were:
- the notions of radicalisation and extremism;
- Problem Based Learning (PBL);
- andragogy, a term that refers to the learning processes of adults rather than those of younger individuals;
- ICT-supported learning.
