
From 23 – 27 June 2014, the German Police University in Münster hosted the second module of the international seminar on “Policing in Europe“.
During the course, 29 participants from 20 different countries, learned about the history of the EU and its institutions. Participants were introduced to a number of major EU institutions such as:
- Eurojust
- Europol
- Frontex
- FRA
- COSI
- CEPOL
The seminar also provided information about international responsibilities in the fields of “law”, legal instruments and the areas of freedom, security and justice.
Course participants were shown around the German Police University library and informed about the history of the police.
On an excursion to Bad Bentheim the participants learned about cross-border cooperation between the German and Dutch federal police.
Lectures about foreign police missions and about the role of the Civilian Planning and Conduct Capability of the EEAS were also given.
