CEPOL course 10/2016 "Illicit laboratory dismantling - advanced"

From 6 to 17 June, Poland hosted the CEPOL course 10/2016 "Illicit laboratory dismantling - advanced". The aim of the course was to train law enforcement officers and forensic experts on how to detect and dismantle illicit drug laboratories in a safe way, as well as to raise general awareness on the problem as seen from the perspective of the EU agencies. The course also aimed at increasing the cooperation among EU countries in fighting synthetic drugs production.

Among the topics covered at the course were the following:

  • methods of drug synthesis and production;
  • equipment used at illicit drug production sites;
  • procedures to dismantle illicit drug laboratories and to collect evidence.
