We are looking for a Legal/Data Protection Officer for our headquarters in Budapest.
The Legal officer (AD6) will provide legal advice and assistance to the Agency on all operational and administrative legal matters and reports to the Executive Director. The Legal Officer is the Data Protection Officer (DPO) of the Agency.
Under the direct supervision of the Executive Director, the Legal Officer/ DPO will be responsible for:
- advise CEPOL units on legal aspects concerning their activities;
- act as the agency’s Data protection Officer;
- provide legal advice and assistance in the interpretation and implementation of the EU and CEPOL legal framework in relation to operational and administrative matters;
- contribute to the preparation and development of internal rules and procedures;
- draft decisions and a range of other documents including legal notes, memoranda and analyses;
- contribute to the preparation, development and implementation of internal guidelines and procedures;
- organise and keep up to date agency’s legal matters archives;
- work on access to documents requests; and
- perform other related duties as required by the service.
