TOPCOP brings together capacity-building experts to discuss about cascading knowledge in the Eastern Partnership countries

The TOPCOP project successfully implemented its third Network Capacity Building workshop for the Eastern Partnership countries, where participants had a fruitful exchange about law enforcement training systems, curriculum development and the concept of cascading knowledge to different audiences.
During the two-day workshop, participants engaged in an exercise exploring ways to prioritise training needs and training needs analysis, presented their training systems and became familiar with TOPCOP’s new trainer-the-trainer and cascading concepts. They also had a chance to apply this knowledge in practice, using the joint curriculum on Trafficking in Human Beings that was prepared during a regional course in September. Now the participants looked at the possible roadmap of its incorporation into their own national systems and ways of cascading the sessions to fellow law enforcement officers.
Furthermore, the workshop provided an opportunity to learn about each other’s e-learning systems, and CEPOL presented the multi-tenancy feature of its own e-Learning management system, LEEd, which can also be customised to the specific needs of CEPOL’s partners. Intensive discussions centred on the future development of e-learning activities, while emerging training needs were identified in light of the new threats faced by the partner countries in the region.
The activity took place this November at the premises of the International Training Centre in Budapest, bringing together 13 representatives from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
