Today, the Management Board of the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Training elected Mr. Detlef Schröder as the new CEPOL Executive Director.
Mr. Schröder was appointed Deputy Director of CEPOL in August 2009 and since September 2017 he has been the Acting Executive Director of the Agency. Prior to joining CEPOL, he was a Senior lecturer at the German Police University in Muenster and had a long career within the Police of the Federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia, rising through the ranks to Chief of the Crime Investigation Departments.
Mr. Schröder will take up his duties as Executive Director on the 16th of February 2018.
