CEPOL’s CT INFLOW project implemented the 2nd  EU-MENA Information Sharing and Analysis Network (EMISA) co-chairs meeting in Budapest between 14-15 February. EMISA gathers 160 practitioners from Middle East and North Africa region, the EU and international organisations and comprises of eight working groups, co-chaired by senior representatives.

The meeting enabled the co-chairs and senior professionals to discuss terrorism trends and future challenges with keynote speakers from the EU Counter-Terrorism Coordinator’s Office, United National Office of Counter Terrorism (UNOCT), the International Centre for Counter Terrorism and Europol. During the meeting, the co-chairs drafted the working plans and priorities for 2023, along with a roadmap for their implementation.

Furthermore, the activity enabled the articulation of the priorities of the network, and thus contributed to strengthening the commitment of its members. The meeting will pave the way for thorough network development for practitioners in the fields of counter terrorism and counter violent extremism across the Mediterranean.
