CEPOL Research & Science Conference in Vilnius cancelled due to increased infection rates of COVID-19

The most recent update of maps by the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC)Arrow icon shows that the COVID-19 situation has started to worsen in several EU Member States.

In light of the deteriorating situation in some countries, and particularly in Lithuania, CEPOL Executive Director has decided on the suspension of the CEPOL Research and Science Conference onsite Vilnius edition which was planned to take place on 1-3 December. The event was being organised jointly with the Mykolas Romeris University.

The reason leading the Agency to take this decision is the worsening of the situation which makes it impossible to guarantee the safety of conference speakers and participants on the highest level.

As a next step, the Agency aims to bring the 2022 edition of the CEPOL Research and Science conference forward from autumn to spring and use the valuable input already provided by partners.
