I would like to express my gratitude for the invitation to represent CEPOL at the Arbeitkreis II meeting, and thank our colleagues at the German CEPOL National Unit, as they identified this unique opportunity and the Chairman of the Arbeitskreis II and his office for making all the necessary arrangements. I believe that the German law enforcement community has an important role to play within the scope of the agency’s new strategy. Sharing valuable knowledge and expertise at EU-level is a key element of success. I strongly encourage the law enforcement authorities in Germany to work closely with our CEPOL National Unit, to help raise awareness regarding our training offer for law enforcement officials.

underlined the Executive Director.

On the sidelines of the Arbeitskreis II meeting, Ms Marin Lopez also had fruitful bilateral discussions with the Executive Director of Europol, Catherine De Bolle. They explored ways of working closer together, with a particular focus on EMPACT, innovation, the crisis in Ukraine and capacity building projects in third countries.
